Lancé au début 2010, ‘America the beautiful’ est un programme de frappe de 56 monnaies commémoratives de 1/4 dollar illustrant les parcs nationaux et d’autres sites nationaux des États-Unis d’Amérique.
Le Parc national historique George Rogers Clark est situé à Vincennes dans l’état de l’Indiana. En 1778, dans le cadre de la campagne de l’Illinois, George Rogers Clark capture le Fort Sackville tenu par les troupes britanniques ce qui contribue à assurer la mainmise sur le territoire du Nord-Ouest. Un monument commémoratif est inauguré en 1936 et est géré depuis 1976 par le National Park Service.
Ce lot contient une monnaie de chacun des trois ateliers émetteurs (3 monnaies au total) : Philadelphie, Denver et San Francisco.

In 1778, as part of the Illinois Campaign, George Rogers Clark captured Fort Sackville from British troops, helping to secure control of the Northwest Territory. A commemorative monument was dedicated in 1936 and has been managed by the National Park Service since 1976.
