Millard Fillmore (7 janvier 1800 – 8 mars 1874), est le treizième président des États-Unis d'Amérique. Élu en 1849 vice-président de Zachary Taylor, il devient président à la mort de ce dernier en 1850. Il règle le problème des frontières du Texas et du Nouveau-Mexique. Au sujet de l’esclavagisme qui devise de plus en plus la société américaine, il est partisan d’un très fragile équilibre sans pouvoir s’affirmer..
