Commentary

The War of the Spanish Succession would rage from 1701 to 1714 between the two camps: on one side France, Castile, and some Germans, and on the other Austria, the Holy Roman Empire, Great Britain, Portugal, and Aragon. Finally, Philip V prevailed and became the first king of the House of Bourbon of Spain.
