Flan court et irrégulier, avec un droit un peu confus mais un revers assez net bien que décentré. Patine grise, hétérogène, avec de petites concrétions

Obverse description : Tête barbare, très stylisée à droite, les cheveux hirsutes ; le nez et l'œil marqués.

(7th - 8th centuries)

If the minting of these coins is to be located at the beginning of the 8th century, in Great Britain, it is not exceptional to find them in Gaul. They are often confused with Merovingian silver coins (cf. MONNAIES XIX, n° 503, sceattas c. 680-710, classified in Merovingian denier of Laon). During the 8th century, the style of these pieces is more and more degenerated, they are often in ridge or filled. These coins disappeared from circulation in the second half of the 8th century.
