L’ancre placée derrière le buste du roi n’est pas sans rappeler celle qui orne les monnaies séleucides, moyen de signaler l’ancienneté et la filiation des monarques du royaume d’Élymaïde.

ELYMAIS - ELYMAIS KINGDOM - KAMNASKIRES VI
(1st - 2nd century AD)
This small kingdom, located between Babylonia and Persis in the region of Susa. He managed to maintain his independence from his powerful Arsacid neighbors. Kamnaskires, of whom we know practically nothing, seems to have reigned at the end of the first century and the beginning of the second century of our era. When the Parthians were eliminated by the Sassanids, Ardashir I made Elymaide a province of the new empire.
