Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale centré des deux côtés. Magnifique portrait de haut relief, bien venu à la frappe. Joli revers où tous les détails du plumage de l’aigle sont visibles. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

(180-145 BC)

Ptolemy VI was the eldest son of Ptolemy V and Cleopatra I Thea. His mother's regency lasted until 176 BC. He reigned jointly with his brother Ptolemy VIII from 170 to 164 BC. He married his sister Cleopatra II by whom he had two daughters and Ptolemy VII. He died of his wounds while fighting Alexander I Balas.
