Commentary
Ahmed Urabi dit Urabi Pacha (1841-1911) est un officier et homme politique égyptien. Il est à l’origine d’une révolte de l’armée égyptienne contre le Khédive et contre l’influence occidentale. Devenu premier ministre, il est battu en 1882 à la Bataille de Tel el-Kebir par les troupes britanniques et éxilé.
Ahmed Urabi, known as Urabi Pasha (1841-1911), was an Egyptian officer and politician. He led a revolt in the Egyptian army against the Khedive and Western influence. Having become Prime Minister, he was defeated in 1882 at the Battle of Tel el-Kebir by British troops and exiled.
