Exemplaire sur un flan large, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait de l’impératrice défunte. Joli revers avec une faiblesse superficielle sur le corps du paon. Jolie patine de collection avec des reflets dorés

Consecration of Marcus Aurelius
Young Faustina died in 175 in Halala at the foot of Mount Taurus, exhausted, aged around 45, after having given thirteen children to the Emperor. She is immediately deified. A coinage of consecration is minted to restore his memory. It is however less important than the one that his father, Antonin the Pious, had struck for his mother Faustina Mother or the Elder after 141.
