(1906-1912)

Frederick VIII (1843-1912) is the eldest son of Christian IX. He is the brother of Alexandra, the wife of Edward VII, and Marie, that of Alexander III of Russia. His eldest son, Christian X, became king of Denmark in 1912, his younger son Haakon had become king of Norway in 1905.
