Exemplaire de qualité pour ce type de monnayage sur un flan ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Buste large avec un portrait magnifique. Revers de haut relief, bien venu à la frappe. Patine gris foncé aux reflets métalliques

Obverse description : Buste lauré consulaire de Crispus césar à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant à mi-corps, tenant le scipio de la main droite (H*4).

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Grand buste consulaire ornementé avec la toga picta et la toga palmata . Les bustes consulaires sont toujours rares pour Crispus.

Caesar

Crispus is the son of Constantine and Minervine. Born around 300, he was named Caesar in 317 with Constantine II and Licinius II. Rightly or wrongly, he is accused by his stepmother of wanting to abuse her. Faced with these accusations, Constantine had his eldest son put to death in early 326.
