Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau buste réaliste du Génie. Revers de haut relief. Merveilleuse patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

Obverse description : Buste barbu, diadémé et drapé du Génie du Peuple romain à droite avec un sceptre à pommeau sur l'épaule.
Obverse translation : “Genius Populus Romanus”, (le Génie du Peuple romain).

Reverse description : Globe entre un sceptre couronné à gauche et un gouvernail à droite.

Commentary


Portrait réaliste. Cette variété semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de 180 coins de droit et de 200 coins de revers pour deux variétés différentes.
