Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale, bien centré à l’usure superficielle. Beau portrait de Constantin II. Revers sur un petit flan. Patine grise avec des reflets métalliques

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Constantin II césar à droite, vu de trois quarts en arrière.
Obverse translation : “Constantinus Iunior Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Constantin le jeune très noble césar).
Reverse
Reverse legend : CAESARVM NOSTRORI/ VOT/./ X/ -|-// PTR (SIC !).
Reverse description : Légende dans une couronne.
Reverse translation : “Caesarum Nostrorum/ Votis decennalibus”, (Vœux pour le dixième anniversaire de règne de nos césars).
Commentary
Poids très léger. Ave son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 2 3aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Imitation fabriquée plutôt sur une taille au 1/132 L., poids théorique, 2,46 g, donc après 330.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
