Born in February 317 according to the most recent timeline, the young Constantine received on coins the title of Caesar as his half-brother and his cousin Licinius Crispus and the title of prince of youth. Constantine II was the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" the empire with his brother Constans subjection, Constantius II with the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantine and Constans quarreled.
