Reverse description : Salus (la Santé) drapée, assise sur un trône orné d’un sphinx tourné à gauche, le coude gauche appuyé sur une colonne, nourrissant un serpent sortant de terre ; devant deux ceps de vigne et une colonne sur laquelle se trouve une statuette de Bacchus debout à droite, tenant un thyrse.

Commodus succeeded his father Marc Aurèle, who died in Vienna on March 17, 180. He hastened to conclude a truce with the Germanic tribes and then abandoned public life.
