Diamètre sans le bouton poussoir : 31,5 mm
Cet exemplaire, de forme ronde, s’ouvre et permet de placer une 20 francs or ou un souverain (diamètre : 21,5 mm).
L’intérieur du couvercle est lisse. L’emplacement pour mettre la pièce est guilloché formant un motif discret de rosace. On peut lire le chiffre 73 sous divers poinçons (ancre + lion + “n”) dans l’intérieur du couvercle. On retrouve également deux poinçons, le lion (fabrication anglais) et la lettre “n” (pour indiquer l’année de fabrication). Cet exemplaire a été attribué à Arthur Benuell (?) lors du Noël 1912.
Diameter without the push button: 31.5 mm. This round example opens to hold a 20-franc gold coin or a sovereign (diameter: 21.5 mm). The inside of the lid is smooth. The coin slot is guilloché, forming a discreet rosette pattern. The number 73 can be seen beneath various hallmarks (anchor + lion + “n”) inside the lid. Two other hallmarks are also present: the lion (English manufacture) and the letter “n” (indicating the year of manufacture). This example was attributed to Arthur Benuell (?) at Christmas 1912.
