Ce denier est frappé sur un flan légèrement irrégulier et voilé présentant une trace de pliure. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise de médaillier

Commentary


Type monétaire attribuable à l’Auvergne en raison des lettres AR au revers. Nous retrouvons toutefois des A croisetés ainsi que des groupes de trois points posés en triangle sur des monnaies mérovingiennes de Melle. Ce type monétaire avec ce personnage debout entre deux croix se retrouve aussi à Chartres (Foucray).
Coin type attributable to Auvergne because of the letters AR on the reverse. However, we find crossed A's as well as groups of three points placed in a triangle on Merovingian coins from Melle. This coin type with this character standing between two crosses is also found in Chartres (Foucray)
