Anhui is an eastern Chinese province made famous by the Huangshan Mountains: the low clouds hovering around granite boulders and twisted pines have inspired many classic paintings and poems. Trails and a cable car take you to the top of these mountains. Lian Hua Feng, the highest, culminates at 1,864 m. The district of Tunxi, which gives access to the mountains, and the surrounding villages have buildings representative of regional Huizhou architecture..
