La pauvre province, à demi rassurée, se complaît dans son amour pour ses deux gouverneurs. Le vaisseau qu'ils pilotent n'a plus besoin d'être au mouillage ; il vogue toutes voiles dehors avec sécurité, car ses deux astres favorables brillent au firmament.
