Commentary
Salins-les-Bains, à 29 kilomètres au nord-est de Poligny, possède d’importantes sources de salines déjà exploitées sous les Romains et qui ont valu ce nom à la ville. Salins sera française de 1477 à 1492 puis réunie à la France en 1674 après sa prise par le maréchal de la Feuillade et cédée définitivement à la France par le traité de Nimègue.
