Commentary
On this hemistatery, the treatment of the neck is interesting: a very light grid and a beautiful rosette with four swirling petals, like a sort of swastika. This type of reverse with this animal interpreted as a wolf is rarer than those with the wild boar.

Historical background
GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
