Coments on the condition:
Exemplaire frappé sur un flan très fin et aux contours irréguliers avec des manques de métal, mais l'ensemble des types de droit et de revers sont néanmoins identifiables. Frappe vigoureuse mais patine grise assez hétérogène

Obverse description : Tête casquée stylisée à droite, une mèche de cheveux dépassant du casque revient enroulée sur le cou.

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Cheval libre galopant à droite, la tête formée par un petit triangle ouvert à l'extrémité globulée ; au-dessus, une S inversée et pointée et un animal allongé à tête triangulaire ; entre les pattes, un sanglier enseigne à droite.
Commentary
Cette petite monnaie correspond à la variété 4 de la série 14 ; elle était considérée comme originale lors de la parution du Nouvel Atlas. Ces monnaies sont très rares et "souvent en mauvais état en raison de leur extrême fragilité".

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
