Bronze avec une magnifique patine vert antique. Frappé sur un flan un peu court, avec la légende fragmentaire devant le visage

Commentary
Sur cet exemplaire, le sanglier (normalement sous le cheval) semble être absent, à moins qu'il s'agisse d'un coin bouché ? Le cheval semble avoir une volute qui lui sort de la bouche, comme sur le bronze PIXTILOS au cavalier (LT. 7081).

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
