Superbe monnaie sur un flan épais et centré, un manque de métal à neuf heure. Magnifique tête au droit, finement détaillée. Revers plus usé mais un très joli cheval et petit sanglier. Patine sombre

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)

The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
