SOUTH ARABIA (FEDERATION)
(1962-1967)
The Federation of South Arabia was formed on April 4, 1962 from the Federation of Southern Arab Emirates which comprises 15 sultanates and sheikhdoms. The federation was joined by the State of Aden in 1963 and then by other states. After the withdrawal of British troops, the protectorate is replaced by the People's Republic of South Yemen.
