Exemplaire sur un flan ovale bien centré avec les grènetis visibles, un peu court sur la légende au droit. Beau portrait d’Aquilia Sévéra. Joli revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Obverse translation : “Julia Aquilia Sévéra Augusta”, (Julia Aquilia Severa augusta).


Reverse legend : CONC-O-RDIA/ *|-.
Reverse description : Concordia (la Concorde) debout à gauche, tenant une double corne d'abondance de la main gauche et une patère de la main droite, sacrifiant au-dessus d'un autel allumé.
Reverse translation : “Concordia”, (La Concorde).

Second and fourth wife of Elagabalus - Augusta (220/221 et 221/222)

220, Elagabalus married Aquilia Severa, a promised chastity vestal. But she was divorced soon after to be replaced by a granddaughter of Marcus Aurelius, Annia Faustina, who was married to the emperor in 221. Shortly after, Elagabalus divorced again in the summer of 221 to return with Aquilia Severa.
