(1853-1901)

The Duchy of Saxe-Eisenach was united with the Duchy of Saxe-Weimar in 1741 to form the Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. After the Napoleonic wars, the duchy was elevated to the rank of Grand-DGERMANY - GRAND-DUCHY OF SAXE-WEIMAR-EISENACH - CHARLES-ALEXANDREuché. The last Grand Duke abdicated in 1918 at the end of the First World War.
