L’église Sainte Marcienne était édifiée Boulebard du Télémly, sur les hauteurs d’Alger. Elle portait le nom d’une sainte locale, née à Rusucursus (Dellys, ville côtière de Kabylie), qui fut martyrisée vers l’an 300 à Césarée (Cherchell) pour avoir renversé et brisé une idole.
