Commentary

Étude pour modifier le billet de 5000 avec vue de la Mosquée de Kairouan par Henry Cheffer. Cette partie s'ajuste parfaitement sur la droite de la gouache précédente. Le personnage assis est remplacé par le portrait de Lamine Bey, dernier représentant de la dynastie des Husseinites décédé en 1962. Document unique et magnifique.
Sont ajoutés un document sur une correction à réaliser sur le texte en arabe (datée du 22 juin 1956) ainsi qu'une médaille de la Banque de l'Algérie 1851-1963 gravée au nom de M.Roger Thiesce,qui travaillait à la banque au début des années 60.
Study to modify the 5000 banknote with a view of the Kairouan Mosque by Henry Cheffer. This part fits perfectly on the right of the previous gouache. The seated figure is replaced by the portrait of Lamine Bey, the last representative of the Husseinite dynasty who died in 1962. Unique and magnificent document. Added is a document on a correction to be made to the Arabic text (dated June 22, 1956) as well as a medal from the Bank of Algeria 1851-1963 engraved with the name of Mr. Roger Thiesce, who worked at the bank in the early 1960s.
