Techniquement la gravure n’est pas optimale et nous devons par commodité l’attribuer à Nuremberg même si le style est bien meilleur que les productions standards de l’atelier allemand.
Les lettres de la légende ne sont pas faites au poinçon mais gravées manuellement et sont irrégulières. On peut penser qu’il s’agit d’une production privée et il est certain que le jeton n’est pas en argent malgré une surface parfaite. L’argenture est parfaitement d’époque.
This token can in no case have been struck at the Paris Mint and if the style and inspiration are indisputably French, the obverse die is a copy and the reverse is old in shape.
