GALLIA - VOLCÆ ARECOMICI (Area of Nîmes)

The Arecomic Volques, from the same group or people (volk) would have emigrated from the Danubian regions to come and settle in southern Gaul in the 3rd century BC. Installed on part of the current departments of Gard and Hérault, their capital was Nemausus (Nîmes).
