Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale irrégulier, bien centré. Beau portrait expressif de Vitellius à l’usure importante. Revers bien venu à la frappe, de haut relief. Jolie patine de collection ancienne

Reverse description : Trépied delphien surmonté d’un dauphin tourné à droite ; aux pieds du trépied, un corbeau tourné à droite.

(2/01-20/12/69)

Vitellius was proclaimed on January 1 or 2, 69 by the armies of Germania. After Bédriac and the disappearance of Othon, in April 69, Vitellius moved to Rome in June. Vespasian was proclaimed by the army in Alexandria on July 1, 69 and Vitellius could not maintain himself.
