Joli statère centré, la frappe est un peu molle au droit mais la tête d’oiseau reste bien visible. Des faiblesses en bord de flan au revers. Patine de collection

VINDELICI (Germania, currently South Germany)

(2nd century BC - 1st century AD)

The Vindelicians were considered to be a people of Celtic origin. They possibly controlled the headwaters of the Rhine and the region of Lake Constance and the Inn valley. Their neighbors were the Helvetii and the Boii. Their main oppidum was Brigantion (Bregenz). They were submitted only by Tiberius during the campaign of 15 BC. Strabo (IV. 3, 6; VII, 1, 5); Pliny (HN. III, 133); Tacitus (An. II, 17); Ptolemy (G. II, 12). Kruta: 69.
