Bel exemplaire, scyphate et épais, un peu court et irrégulier, avec un flan en billon, avec les types de droit et de revers assez bien venus

Obverse description : Epais triskèle aux extrémités bouletés, dans une sorte de couronne de lauriers.

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Trois double-annelets posés en triangle au-dessus d’une ligne de cinq gros annelets pointés ; épais grènetis autour.

Commentary


Bien que conservant un très bon aspect, ce statère illustre la dégénérescence métallique des "Regenbogenschüsselchen" qui commencent par des monnaies en bon or pour se terminer en bas billon.
Cet exemplaire est très proche des n° 467 à 469 du Kunsthistorisches Museum de Vienne.
Although retaining a very good appearance, this stater illustrates the metallic degeneration of the \\\"Regenbogenschüsselchen\\\" which begin with coins in good gold and end in low billon. This example is very close to nos. 467 to 469 of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna

The Vindelicians were considered to be a people of Celtic origin. They possibly controlled the headwaters of the Rhine and the region of Lake Constance and the Inn valley. Their neighbors were the Helvetii and the Boii. Their main oppidum was Brigantion (Bregenz). They were submitted only by Tiberius during the campaign of 15 BC. Strabo (IV. 3, 6; VII, 1, 5); Pliny (HN. III, 133); Tacitus (An. II, 17); Ptolemy (G. II, 12). Kruta: 69.
