Commentary
For this seemingly innocuous type, we have two different types of reverse: the first with AVGVR/PON MAX (RIC. 29) as on our example and the second with TRI POT (RIC 30), denarii which were both struck in 70-71 and refer to the great pontificate and the sacred aspect of the one who is invested with tribunician power. The reverse is inspired by the Octavian denarius (RCV. 1544). This type seems much rarer than the one with TRI POT which we have already proposed three times
