Commentary

Simon Bolivar (1783-1830) est un général et homme d'État vénézuélien. D’après wikipedia, iI est une figure emblématique de l'émancipation des colonies espagnoles d'Amérique du Sud dès 1813.
Quant à Antonio Guzmán Blanco (1829-1899), également homme d’état vénézuélien, il est le 18e président du Venezuela du 27 avril 1870 au 20 février 1877 puis de 1879 à 1884 et de 1886 à 1888.
Cette médaille fut émise sous le second mandat d’Antonio Guzman Blanco.
