Très beau portrait. De légères marques de manipulation, surtout au droit. La pièce conserve encore un peu de sa surface d’origine. Un coup sur la tranche au niveau du BO de BOLIVAR

Historical background

VENEZUELA - REPUBLIC

(since 1843)

Venezuela revolted against Spanish tutelage and proclaimed its independence on July 5, 1811. Miranda was the first president (1750-1816), but the Spanish quickly regained possession of the country. Simon Bolivar (1783-1830) defeats the Spaniards on June 24, 1821 and gives Venezuela its definitive independence. He will be president of the confederation formed by Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, but will die in exile.
