Commentary

Croix émaillée rouge à 4 branches bouletées, médaillon central doré et émaillé de bleu. Exemplaire conservé dans un écrin en cuir rouge gaufré et timbré des armes pontificales.
Dimensions du trophée d’armes avec les 2 bélières : 25 mm
Diamètre de la croix : 33,5 mm, avec la bélière : 36,5 mm.
Ruban rouge, bordé de jaune.
L'ordre de Saint-Grégoire-le-Grand est une distinction honorifique accordée par le Saint-Siège, à titre civil ou militaire. Fondé le 1er septembre 1831 par le pape Grégoire XVI en l'honneur du pape Grégoire Ier, il est modifié le 30 mai 1834. cf. Wikipedia.

Dimensions of the trophy of arms with the 2 bails: 25 mm Diameter of the cross: 33.5 mm, with the bail: 36.5 mm. Red ribbon, edged in yellow. The Order of Saint Gregory the Great is an honorary distinction granted by the Holy See, for civil or military purposes.
