Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, bien centré au droit avec un plat de frappe sur le listel. Belle tête d’Apollon. Faiblesse de frappe au revers sur la légende. Belle patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés

Commentary


Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de 72 coins de droit et de 80 coins de revers pour deux variétés. Les auteurs du CMDRR. ont recensé quatre variantes. Ce type est plus rare que ne le laissent paraître les ouvrages généraux. L’exemplaire de MONNAIES IX, n° 166 en SUP s’est vendu 715€ sur un maximum à 983€.

Several emperors also descend from this family which obtains the right to be buried within the walls of the City, as well as a throne in the circus maxime.
