Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Jolie patine marron foncé

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Cabochon gemmé rond. Fibule d’attache ronde avec pendant perlés. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum.

Valentinian, proclaimed on February 25, 364, joined his brother Valens on August 24 of the same year. They share the Empire, Valentinian reserving the West. In 367, the Emperor named Augustus his son Gratian. Valentinian died on November 17, 375, leaving the West in great danger.
