Reverse description : L'Empereur debout de face tourné à droite, diadémé, vêtu militairement, tenant le labarum chrismé croiseté de la main droite et un globe nicéphore de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Restitutor Reipublicæ”, (Le restaurateur de la République).

Commentary

Monnaie montée anciennement. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Diadème composé de perles et de cabochons gemmés ronds. Cabochon carré gemmé. Fibule d’attache perlée. Ptéryges larges et bouletées. Chrisme primitif sur le labarum formé de la croissette surmontée du rhô. Ligne d’exergue pointée aux extrémités. Ce type n’est pas repris dans l’ouvrage de G. Depeyrot avec ce type de buste. Un seul exemplaire recensé au British Museum.
Old mounted coin. Type 3 ribbons with rounded ends. Diadem composed of pearls and round gem-covered cabochons. Square gem-covered cabochon. Pearl-covered attachment fibula. Large, rounded pteryges. Primitive chrisma on the labarum formed by the cross surmounted by the rho. Pointed exergue line at the ends. This type is not included in G. Depeyrot's work with this type of bust. Only one example recorded in the British Museum
