Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Valens à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Valens Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Valens pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : GLORIA RO-MANORVM// SMHB.

Reverse description : Valens debout à droite, vêtu militairement, tenant le labarum chrismé de la main gauche et de la main droite les cheveux d'un captif agenouillé.
