Commentary
L’E.C.F.M. (Eclairage, chauffage et force motrice) opérait une usine à gaz à Gennevilliers construite entre 1904 et 1906. Une des plus puissante d’Europe, l’usine emploiera jusqu’à 2000 ouvriers. Nationalisée en 1945 et rattachée à GDF elle ferme à la fin des années 1960.
The ECFM (Lighting, Heating and Power) operated a gasworks in Gennevilliers, built between 1904 and 1906. One of the most powerful in Europe, the factory employed up to 2,000 workers. Nationalized in 1945 and attached to GDF, it closed in the late 1960s.
