Coments on the condition:
Flan un peu court et ovale, avec deux éclatements de frappe en bord de flan. Le droit et le revers sont bien centrés, avec un droit en bord de flan mais un superbe revers finement détaillé. Patine grise, irisée et cristallisée

Commentary


Cette très rare obole est du même type que les exemplaires S. 517 et 518. L'attribution aux Nitiobroges ou aux Cadurques proposée par G. Savès pourrait sembler hasardeuse à la vue de la rareté des provenances connues. En l'absence (à notre connaissance) de publication sur les trouvailles de ce type d'obole, nous nous limiterons à une attribution au Sud Ouest.
L’annelet entre les jambes du cheval semble en fait être une sorte de lyre (?).
