On notera avec un grand intérêt que la face vierge présente des marques de tour ; ceci nous fournit l’explication des fins cercles que l’on devine sous les motifs de certains essais de Bazor, en 100 francs. Les flans utilisés, artisanaux, portaient ces marques de tour qui transparaissent malgré la frappe.
It is of great interest to note that the blank face shows lathe marks; this explains the fine circles that can be seen under the motifs of some Bazor tests, in 100 francs. The flans used, handcrafted, bore these lathe marks which show through despite the striking

TUNISIA - FRENCH PROTECTORATE - AHMED BEY

(AH 1348-1361/ 1929-1942)

Ahmed ben Ali (1862-1942) succeeded his cousin Mohammed El-Habin (1922-1929). Bourguiba founded the Neo-Destour party in 1934 and was arrested in 1938. Tunisia followed the destiny of France. She takes racial laws from July 1940.
