Commentary
La médaille a été décernée à Louis Favre (1824-1914) archiviste. Il sera le secrétaire de l'ex-chancelier Pasquier puis le chef de cabinet du président du Sénat, Gaston d'Audiffret-Pasquier, avant de devenir archiviste à la chambre haute. Il est le frère de François Favre (1819-1892), journaliste et maire du 17e arrondissement de Paris en 1870.
The medal was awarded to Louis Favre (1824-1914), an archivist. He served as secretary to former Chancellor Pasquier and then as chief of staff to the President of the Senate, Gaston d'Audiffret-Pasquier, before becoming an archivist in the upper house. He was the brother of François Favre (1819-1892), a journalist and mayor of the 17th arrondissement of Paris in 1870.
