Obverse description : La République assise le bras droite tenant une branche d’olivier passé au-dessus d’un lion, la main gauche reposant sur une urne portant l’inscription SUFFR[AGE] / UNIVERSEL ; en bas à gauche L. DESCHAMPS.

Reverse description : Faisceau de licteur reposant sur un drapeau et des feuilles de chêne sur un cartouche timbré du nom et du département du récipiendaire en deux lignes.
Commentary
Médaille attribuée en 1905 à Paul, Élisée Bourély, député de la Seine-Inférieure à l’occasion de la VIIIe législature. Radical socialiste, il fut élu le 22 octobre 1905 jusqu’au 31 mai 1906 sous la VIIIe législature. Il fut réélu le 6 mai 1906 puis de nouveau e 24 avril 1910 et le 26 avril 1914 sous les IXe et Xe législatures de la Troisième République. Il fut sous-sécrétaire d’État aux Finances du 21 janvier au 9 décembre 1913, fonction qu’il occupera de nouveau du 12 septembre au 16 novembre 1917. A noter que sur tous les site, son nom est noté Bourely sans accent, sa médaille de parlementaire de la VIIIe législature porte un accent.
