Commentary
La médaille a été décernée à Ferdinand Le Menuet (1855-1931). Après des études au lycée de Coutances, Ferdinand accomplit son service militaire au 25e régiment de ligne à Cherbourg, où il parvient au grade de sergent-major. Il devient ensuite commerçant à Paris. Il sera conseiller municipal pour le quartie de Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois de 1900 à 1931.
The medal was awarded to Ferdinand Le Menuet (1855-1931). After studying at the lycée in Coutances, Ferdinand completed his military service in the 25th Line Infantry Regiment in Cherbourg, where he rose to the rank of sergeant-major. He then became a merchant in Paris. He served as a municipal councillor for the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois district from 1900 to 1931.
