Obverse legend : + PETRVS: COMES: CLARIMONTIS: T: R, (PONCTUATION PAR DEUX ANNELETS SUPERPOSÉS).
Obverse description : Écu à trois lis posés 2 et 1 barrés (Bourbon), un lion terminant la partie haute de la barre (Beaujeu), cantonné de trois flammes, le tout contenu dans un double trilobe.
Obverse translation : (Pierre, comte de Clermont, Trévoux et Bourbon).
Reverse
Reverse legend : + DISPERSIT: DEDIT: PAVPERIBVS, (PONCTUATION PAR DEUX ANNELETS SUPERPOSÉS).
Reverse description : Croix cantonnée aux 1 et 4 d'une flamme, aux 2 et 3 d'un lis, dans un double quadrilobe.
Reverse translation : (Il distribua et donna aux pauvres).

Pierre II, Duke of Bourbon, was born in 1438 from the union of Charles I, Duke of Bourbon and Agnès, daughter of Jean, Duke of Burgundy. He had three elder brothers: Jean II, Charles II, who became cardinal and Louis, bishop of Liège. He married in 1473 with Anne de Beaujeau (1462-1522), daughter of the King of France Louis XI (1461-1483). In 1491 was born from their union Suzanne who married, in 1505, Charles III de Bourbon-Montpensier (1489-1527).
