Commentary
A magnificent example of a chronogram. The date is 1678. To find out, you have to add up the capital letters in the obverse legend (or rather their numerical equivalents in the Roman numeral system). Tournai was captured by Louis XIV in 1667 but was returned to the Austrian Netherlands by the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713.
