Étienne-Jacques-Christophe Benoist de la Grandière est procureur du roi en la maîtrise des eaux et forêts de Touraine puis conseiller du roi au bailliage et siège présidial de Tours, ainsi qu’assesseur à la Maréchaussée générale de Touraine. C’est le fils de Louis Benoist de la Grandière, maire entre 1768 et 1771. Il est maire de 1780 à 1790.
Étienne-Jacques-Christophe Benoist de la Grandière was the king's attorney for the water and forest management of Touraine, then a king's advisor to the bailiwick and presidial seat of Tours, as well as an assessor to the General Maréchaussée of Touraine. He was the son of Louis Benoist de la Grandière, mayor between 1768 and 1771. He was mayor from 1780 to 1790.
